Meghalaya, known as the “abode of clouds,” captivates with its lush landscapes and cascading waterfalls. Explore the unique living root bridges and immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of this northeastern Indian state.
Day 01
Guwahati Airport / Railway Station to Kaziranga – Pickup & Transfer
* Meet our representative on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station where you will be greeted well.
* Get transferred to Kaziranga National Park & Check into the hotel.
* Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing, in preparation for the fun and adventurous journey that lies ahead.
* Overnight stay in a hotel at Kaziranga.
Day 02
Kaziranga to Shillong – National Park Sightseeing and Transfer
* Early morning, head out to enjoy a jeep safari Arranged by Himavat Destination in the Kaziranga National Park.
* Kaziranga National Park is home to many species of animals & birds including the One-horned rhino. Return to the hotel for a lip-smacking breakfast.
* Post breakfast start the journey toward Shillong Scotland of the East.
* You will come across the Umiam Lake (Borapani) while traveling from Kaziranga to Shillong, capturing the mesmerizing beauty it has to offer we shall move forward.
* Check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay in a hotel at Shillong.
Day 03
Shillong to Cherapunji – Transfer Via via Laitlum Canyon
* After enjoying a lip-smacking breakfast in the morning get transferred to Cherrapunjee.
On the way, visit the breathtaking Laitlum Canyon (only if time permits), Mawkdok Dympep View Point, Wei Sawdong Falls.
* After this, grasp a stunning view of Nohkalikai falls, the Garden of caves, Arwah Caves for a distinct experience and Seven Sisters’ Falls if time permits.
* Overnight stay at Cherapunjee.
Day 04
Cherapunji – Nongriat Trek
* After a lip-smacking breakfast, visit the stunning Nohkalikai Falls.
* Gear up for the trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge (Nongriat) with the local guide, from Tirana.
* You can also extend your hike to Rainbow Falls at an extra cost of Rs 1500.
* Enjoy your overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 05
Cherapunji to Dawki – Transfer & Halfday Sightseeing
* After having your breakfast at the hotel, board your transfers to Shnongpdeng/Dawki.
* Take your first stop over at Mawlynnong and get a chance to walk around Asia’s Cleanest Village.
* On the outskirts of the village, witness nature’s wonder in the form of a Balancing Rock, which remains unmoved through years, despite the storms and cyclones.
* Later, take up to visit the Single Decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai village.
*Post this you will reach Dawki where the ultimate experience of boating in Crystal clear waters of the Umngot river awaits you (at your own cost). After enjoying your boat ride, head to your stay in Shnongpdeng/Dawki.
* Overnight at Shnongpdeng/Dawki.
Day 06
Dawki to Shillong – Transfer Via Jowai
* Wake up to a beautiful sunrise in East Khasi hills and have your breakfast.
* Get ready and start your journey via Jowai to visit India’s most magical waterfall : Krang Suri Waterfalls. Upon reaching Krang Suri Waterfalls, spend some time around the falls by taking a dip in the natural pool or just enjoy some time by sitting leisurely.
* Later, move further towards Shillong.
* On the way, take a photo stop at the beautiful site of the Laitlum Canyons where the Bollywood movie “Rock On 2” was shot. After soaking in the views, head to your hotel in Shillong.
* Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
Day 07
Shillong to Guwahati – Drop | End of Journey
* After a fulfilling breakfast, head to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station.
* Your tour concludes once you are dropped at the Airport/ Railway Station for your onwards journey.
* It’s now time to head back home with a Plethora of Good Memories.
