Day 01

AIRPORT – SIGIRIYA – APPROX 04.30 HRS DRIVE

Arrival to Sri Lanka
Welcome by Our Representative at the Airport
Proceed to Sigiriya
● Enroute, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
● Providing a caring home for abandoned and wounded elephants, it is a much-loved destination for tourists and locals alike.

Transfer to Sigiriya

● Also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, it is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country.
● This site is situated 148 kilometers east of Colombo and 72 kilometers north of Kandy.

KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA – APPROX 03 HRS DRIVE

● The last kingdom of the Sinhalese, taking in the sights of Upper Lake Drive and the Market Square.

NUWARA ELIYA – BENTOTA – APPROX 05 HRS DRIVE

After Breakfast, Visit Sita Amman Temple

BENTOTA-GALLE CITY TOUR & BENTOTA CITY TOUR

After Breakfast, Proceed to Galle & Visit Galle Fort
● The Heritage city of Galle, which has stood strong against invasions for centuries— from colonial powers to nature’s volatile outbursts.
● The famous Dutch Fort was first built by the Portuguese, fortified by the Dutch, and preserved by the British.
● Battered daily for over 400 years by the ocean, it survived the onslaught of a tsunami and is now enjoyed by both residents and visitors.
● The colonial architecture of the walled city has resisted the advance of modernity and holds tightly to its past glory.

Bentota
● Located on the South coast of Sri Lanka, Bentota is an interesting destination for birdwatching.
● On the shore, sea birds and wanderers, including the rare Indian Heron, are often found.
● Vegetation along the river harbors many local species, as well as winter migrants.
● Many interesting sightseeing tours are possible, such as the Turtle Hatchery, Madu River Boat Trips, and more.
